Value Stream Mapping (VSM) is the secret behind many successful companies such as Toyota, GE, Intel etc. Understanding and developing effective VSM is a foundation of understanding customer value, identifying bottlenecks and wastes in the process. This one-day introductory workshop on "Value Stream Mapping" is designed to provide participants experiential learning using simulation lean tool kits in understanding and constructing value stream maps. The examples and case studies include both manufacturing industry and service industry.

Speaker Profile
Ramesh Rao holds degrees in engineering, finance, and an MBA in supply chain & finance. He is a Certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Lean Master, Supply Chain Practitioner & Design Thinking Facilitator. With 25 years of experience in multi industry & multi-cultural environment, Ramesh held multiple leadership positions in operations & office functions (operations, supply chain, quality, finance etc) and successfully implemented lean process & practices across all the organizations with positive financial impact to the company bottom line. Ramesh has facilitated more than 200 workshops in implementing value stream maps and kaizens across multiple industries and multiple countries that has immensely benefited companies in manufacturing as well as service industries. Currently Ramesh runs a business consultancy based in Singapore specializing in turnarounds and transformations.
